Botanical name: Lavandula officinalis
Common name: Lavender (40/42% Ester)
Origin: Australia
Colour: Pale yellow with a tint of green
Aromatic scent: Floral, herbaceous, fresh with balsamic woody undertone
Extraction: Steam distilled
Plant part: Flower head

Common uses:
1. Lavender 40/42 is often the Lavender oil of choice for applications in soaps, candles, perfumes and cosmetics. The reason is that the 40/42 refers to the standardisation of both Linalool and Linalyl acetate resulting in a very consistent floral scent.

Caution:
1. Non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitising.
2. Avoid during pregnancy and avoid high doses during pregnancy because it is a uterine stimulant.
